Our mission

Our mission is to create a public classroom, encouraging collective critical thinking where ideas turn into high-quality educational materials. BOOK BOOK BOOK is a volunteer-led book club focused on publishing and broadcasting; created by the community, for the community.

We do this through weekly meetings centered on literary texts selected by our members. Our magazine brings these discussions to a wider public through research-backed writing and creative work, alongside weekly worksheets and a broadcast channel exploring the intersections of creative arts, science, and technology—all free and open-access to the public.

Our Values

Education as a Practice of Freedom — We believe education is a tool for questioning, critical thinking, and imagining possibilities beyond the status quo. This means approaching ideas with curiosity and rigor, and being prepared to support our claims with credible, well-cited sources when appropriate.

Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges — We challenge boundaries between disciplines, communities, and ways of knowing. We are dedicated to creating connections that merge multiple perspectives.

Knowledge as a Commons — We believe knowledge should be created collectively and shared freely. We make learning accessible through open, community-created educational materials and spaces for inquiry.

Justice, Equity, & Respect. Our freedom of speech stops existing the moment it is used to silence, threaten, or deny the dignity and safety of others. We believe in open inquiry and the freedom to challenge ideas, while holding ourselves accountable to creating a space where everyone can participate with dignity, respect, and equal opportunity to be heard.

Our Strategy

To learn more, join our next meeting: every Sunday at 6pm. Don’t forget to bring a book!
